PARKLAND PREDATORS SOCCER
A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO COMPETITIVE SOCCER
We at PARKLAND PREDATORS SOCCER (PPS) view soccer as an avenue for education and development of our children. Soccer is a sport to be enjoyed for life and the best physical activity to develop healthy and capable athletes as well as good citizens.
At PPS we emphasize education and career goals (academic and athletic as well). Our goal is that at the end of the participation in youth soccer competition, the adolescent will be ready to succeed in collegiate or professional soccer, but more importantly he or she will be a person who is passionate about the sport.
We have a group of highly trained coaches and administrators, totally devoted to the ideas expressed above. Our Development program follows the recommendations of FIFA, the world soccer organization and we deal with every age group according to its psycho-bio-social characteristic. We also place great emphasis on the need for the kids to have fun.
Preparation to play soccer starts well before game time. Adequate practices are indispensable to enhance learning. Players and parents must understand that, as with any other skill, in soccer, practice comes before performance and performance comes before success. It has been estimated that takes 10000 hours of deliberate practice to become a top class athlete in any sports discipline including soccer. That is about 3 hours of practice 5 days a week for more than 10 years.
The ultimate goals of our program are:
-
Increase the number of individuals playing at their best within their own level.
-
Increase the number of players who are retained by federated institutions to play soccer for life.
-
Elevate the standard of play at all stages of the game.
-
Establish and maintain the universal club structure of soccer.
-
Create bridge systems for easy, smooth transition among all stages of play
We hope you consider taking your children to the PPS.
Sincerely yours
